SHIZUOKA HOBBY SHOW 2015

Hi guys!

We are back from Shizuoka hobby show, the biggest show in Japan, took place

on the 14-17th of May. They told us the number of art works we had this year is the biggest in the WORLD,

8700(including Gundam or other toy figures) models we had for exhibition.

I'm going to send you report of the show! We also had some specail guests this year.

Shizuoka is well known for Mt. Fuji, the tallest mountain in Japan.

We prayed the mountain for our success, and got into Twin Messe Shizuoka, the exhibition hall for the hobby show.

Here is some picutres from Tamiya booth, Panther Ausf. D!!

They explaind how they are accurate and precise, even inside. And figures coming with the kit is also well-represented.

And this is off - AFV track, but we enjoyed watching Ghibli and Godzilla and cosplay girls:)

So, here are some pictiures of AVF and diorama. There are SO many and couldn't take them all, but they were all amazing!

Amazing isn't it?:)

And this is our booth we had at modelers' flea market!

Thank you so much those of who actually visited our booth, it's really pleasure to talk to you guys!

AND we had special interviews for guests, first with Jose Luis Lopez Ruiz!

-How are you enjoying Japan so far?

Amazing! This is my first visit to Japan, so I have many things I want to try. And it’s my pleasure to see Japanese modelers!

-What do you think Japanese hobby show?

It is brilliant. When you compare to Europian shows, yes we have many great modelers and wonderful art works, but here in Japan you can see everything from Gundam or Godzilla, or Ghibli. I can see people truly enjoy this party like children, and that is wonderful.

Next, interview with Max Wang from Diopark!

-What do you expect for this show?

I expect cheap, easy model. Because these days model kits are getting more expensive,

it’s hard to get sometimes. When you think about original scale models, I think it should be something you can enjoy with reasonable pice.

-What do you see modeling hobby show in 10 years?

I think Chinese hobby show will be much bigger and greater in near future, because

70% of scale model manufacturers are from China. They are now Getting know-how

And experience, but that won’t be so long time.

-What do you think of Japanese modeler?

Japanese modeler’s are great! Especially dioramas. I think they have great idea to present what they picture, that always impresses me.

Thank you so much Jose and Max! I look forward to seeing you guys again soon in Japan, or foreingn shows!

Also, we had interview with Mr.&Mrs. Hori from Kamizukuri!

-What do you want to tell customers from overseas?

I want them to see how amazing potential paper has. We have been working on to make our customer happy, but if you have some request such as ”I want Kamizukuri item like this” or “Why don’t you produce items like this?” please feel free to tell me. It’s our pleasure!

Since Kamizukuri is one of our best selling products, I’m actually thinking to make English instruction. It may take some time, but I’ll do my best. And as he said,

please let me know if you have any request for Kamizukuri!

That was such an amazing time and our 2 days went really fast....

But this time I felt again, we are literally one big modeling family. We can talk and communicate like kids through

scale model no matter where you are from and how old you are. We are connected, and that was a really warm experience.

Althrough now we are back to regular schedule, we are looking forward to seeing all of you guys somewhere.

It won't be so long until modeling connects us in real world!:)

Cheers,

Asami
